Our customers' use cases. Straight from practice.
Selected projects from our work: without customer names for reasons of confidentiality, but with real tasks, real inspection characteristics and real benefits.

E-motor housings: fully automated 100% inspection
Up to 2,400 housings a day are inspected fully automatically by 42 sensors. Defects from 0.2 mm are detected in a maximum of 36 seconds per part; defective parts are rejected automatically and additionally checked manually.
View case studyTurbochargers: combined 2D and 3D part inspection
Up to 2,200 turbochargers a day are inspected in 2D and 3D to detect surface defects as well as geometric distortion. Final inspection focuses on the defects found, and automatic packaging ensures traceability in the warehouse.
View case studyWater analysers: automated outgoing goods inspection
Before shipping, every water analyser is inspected for completeness, correct assembly and external integrity. Only flawless devices leave the premises, and the inspection result is fully documented for every delivery.
View case studyPCB inspection: optical inspection of printed circuit boards
Component assembly, solder joints and component placement are captured optically with a CamBox: a compact unit combining camera, lighting and computing power. It inspects connector pins, resistors and electrolytic capacitors across up to 10 PCB variants.
View case studyContainer recognition in injection moulding: automated variant sorting
After injection moulding, up to 20 to 25 container variants converge, mixed together. Several cameras capture each container; the system decides OK, NOK or "not recognisable" and automatically routes it to the appropriate finishing or assembly station.
View case studySeal inserts: inspection before the robot picks
Seal inserts are transported as "stacks" on parallel roller conveyors. A wide-angle camera assesses geometry, defects and contamination in real time; NOK stacks are not picked or are specifically sorted out before packaging.
View case studyBolt and hole inspection directly at the stamping press
At the stamping press, two sheet metal parts pass in front of the cameras side by side every three seconds. The system checks whether all holes are present on the 7-hole or 8-hole variants and whether all three screws are present on a second part: every decision with a confidence value per characteristic.
View case studyAI workshop: identifying use cases together
For a construction machinery manufacturer, Vivaldi ran a two-day workshop to identify AI use cases: from fundamentals and process mapping through prioritisation to a roadmap with the next steps.
