Reliable inspection of holes and screws: at press speed.
At a manufacturer of stamped and sheet metal parts, the parts drop directly at the stamping press onto an irregular conveyor belt in varying orientations: roughly every three seconds, two parts pass in front of the cameras side by side. The inspection task is deliberately narrow: on the two sheet metal variants with 7 or 8 holes, are all holes present and fully punched through, and is the hole free of residue or burrs? On a second part, the system also checks whether all three screws are present. Every decision (OK or NOK) is output directly with a confidence value per characteristic.
OK/NOK decision with confidence value

Every decision is output directly with a confidence value per characteristic.
Consistent inspection where manual work reaches its limits
With varying orientations and around two parts every three seconds, the system delivers a fast, consistent OK/NOK decision per characteristic: for both sheet metal variants and the additional screw check. This relieves inspection exactly where purely manual visual inspection at press speed reaches its limits.
